Painting to me is a time where I can relax and bring to life my creativity. I would describe my painting style as a lose yet detailed creation of color. I love to build a canvas up with color and texture as I slowly remove some of the layers. As I build layers within layers and subtract layers I notice how the canvas starts to “talk to me” (yes, I know I just wrote that but it is true) I feel as thought it is instinct as I take a look back and invision where to place another dab of color. Every new layer units my feelings and subject matter. My story that once was in my mind starts to unravel and become whole. It is not till I find peace till the end of my paintings because that is when my vision finally is portrayed.
